1. The academy

Noor Harf provides live one-to-one online classes in Quran and Urdu (English later). Classes take place inside the Noor Harf portal. We do not send families to an external Zoom link as the normal classroom.

2. Plans and payment

You can pay monthly, for 6 months (10% off) or yearly (20% off). Fees are paid upfront by PayPal or Wise. Wise transfers stay “awaiting payment” until we mark the invoice paid. Prices are listed in USD, GBP, EUR, CAD and AUD. A second child on the same parent account receives the sibling discount shown on the pricing page.

3. Free trial

New families may book 3 free trial classes. No card is needed. A trial is not a paid plan and does not guarantee a standing weekly slot until you enrol.

4. Lateness and no-shows

• If a student is late, the class still ends at the booked time.
• If a teacher is late, the student is offered a make-up class in the same week.
• If a teacher has not joined within 15 minutes, the class is auto-cancelled as a teacher no-show and the student receives a full make-up class.

5. Rescheduling

You may ask to move a class if you give at least [X] hours’ notice. The new slot must keep the same class length and the 15-minute gap after class.

6. Teacher leave

If your main teacher is on planned leave, a same-gender backup teacher covers that class. The family sees a short note that a backup is covering — not the backup’s profile. Backup teachers cover planned leave only, never lateness.

7. Contact details

Teachers and families must not exchange phone numbers, emails or WhatsApp. All messages go through the portal. Students pay the academy only. Teachers must not take cash or gifts directly.

8. Child safeguarding

A parent or trusted adult should stay nearby for students under 13. Join times may be logged and classes may be reviewed for quality and safeguarding. We will act on any concern about a child’s safety.

9. Gifts

Gifts to teachers are voluntary, only offered to parents on the payment page during an announced occasion, and appear to the teacher only as a line on their salary slip.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change. The latest version lives at this URL.
